How does the hair on your head grow?On average your hair grows about 1 centimetre (half an inch) each month. Hair growsfrom hair follicles, which are located under your skin.
A single scalp hair grows continuously for 2-4 years (growth phase) and then stopsgrowing for 2-4 months (rest phase). After this the hair falls out. In its place a newhealthy hair begins to grow, and the cycle is repeated. The hairs on your scalp arealways in different stages of this cycle so it is normal to lose scalp hair every day.
What is male pattern hair loss?
Male pattern hair loss is a common condition in which men experience thinning of thehair on the scalp, often resulting in a receding hairline and/or balding on the top of thehead. This condition is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic factors and aparticular hormone, DHT (dihydrotestosterone).
DHT causes a decrease in the growth phase and thinning of the hair (see picture). Thisleads to male pattern hair loss. These changes can start to occur in some men in their20s and become more common with age. Once hair loss has occurred over a longperiod of time, the hair may be permanently lost.

I found this article useful for me. I've seen some other articles online, and I'm sure most of these were published by other doctors. And in my own mind, this is a good piece. I'm just looking forward to reading it in person. I don't like it if you can't read it in person.
The Most Common Side Effects of Propecia (Finasteride)
Propecia is the brand name for finasteride, an inhibitor of the 5-alpha reductase enzyme that works to reduce levels of androgen hormones in the body. It works by preventing the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Propecia has been approved for use in the UK since 1997. It is a common, FDA-approved drug in both men and women.
The side effects of finasteride include decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and reduced ability to ejaculate. These are commonly reported and occur at similar rates as they do in men. However, there is a slight increase in the risk of developing these side effects in men taking finasteride.
A study published in the British Medical Journal reported that finasteride was associated with a 15% higher risk of an increased risk of developing breast cancer in men with a history of breast cancer. The researchers also found that a 1-year follow-up was necessary to confirm the risk increase.
Other side effects include decreased libido, decreased energy, decreased sperm count, and erectile dysfunction. These side effects are not common, but if you experience any of these, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This is for you.
2What to Do if You’re Over 65Propecia is a medication that is approved for use in the United States, and many of the side effects associated with it are reported by patients who have never used it before. Here are some of the more common ones:
Decreased Libido:Decreased sexual desire and performance is a common side effect of Propecia. Men who have used the drug for at least a year may experience decreased libido. If the drug is taken in a sexual relationship, it is not expected to increase libido in men.
Erectile Dysfunction:The sexual side effects of Propecia can be similar to those experienced with other drugs. Men taking Propecia who report experiencing any degree of sexual dysfunction have reported experiencing some to be persistent or recurrent.
Sexual Dysfunction:Propecia can affect a man’s ability to have an erection. A man who is experiencing sexual dysfunction should talk to his doctor immediately.
Anxiety:Propecia can cause anxiety in patients who use the medication. Anxiety can be a significant side effect of finasteride, and it can affect other aspects of sexual function.
Breast Cancer:Women who have breast cancer may have a higher risk of developing this side effect. It is not known whether Propecia actually causes breast cancer in women.
Propecia is a medication commonly used to treat male pattern baldness. The side effects of this drug include decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and decreased energy. These are commonly reported and are not common. They may be related to the medication and its side effects, and the drug may not be as effective as an older, older medication that has been used for a long time.

Propecia is the first and only prescription drug to win FDA approval for its use in men. Propecia works by stopping the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that can cause hair loss and balding in some individuals. If you’re taking Propecia and have concerns about your hair loss or balding, please contact your doctor immediately.
Below is the information provided to help you understand how Propecia works to fight male-pattern baldness:
It’s not recommended to use Propecia to treat benign prostate enlargement or prostate problems like benign prostatic hyperplasia or an enlarged prostate. These conditions can lead to hair loss, and it’s important to talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about using Propecia. If you’re taking Propecia and are experiencing any of these side effects, stop taking it immediately and see your doctor right away. They may adjust your dosage if you experience them.
Read the Patient Information Leaflet from the manufacturer’s website, and follow any product instructions provided by the manufacturer.
I was taking propecia for a year. I was prescribed Propecia in the summer of 2012. It has a very strong effect on my libido, although not on my fertility. I have noticed that it has a slight effect on my sex drive too, so I thought it might be worth a try. But as I have been having sex in the last couple of months I have noticed that it is very noticeable. It doesn’t have a long term effect, but the effect is very noticeable. I would like to have more sexual experience with the drug. I would like to start the medication with a dose that is the same and not a ‘standard’ one like finasteride. I am also planning to take a few months of Propecia while on my medication.
So here is my experience with Propecia. The main thing I am curious about is how you react to the medication. Does Propecia cause a lot of unwanted side effects? I have read that Propecia can cause hair loss but I have not experienced this side effect yet. If you have any questions then ask on the phone and talk to a qualified healthcare professional. I am sure you will be able to find the best answers. I feel that Propecia is a very important part of my treatment plan. As long as you have the same prescription and do not take too much medication, then it is not a major concern.
I was on Propecia for a year and it has been very effective. It has been a bit of a challenge to keep my sex drive high and I have to make it a bit easier to get and keep an erection. The effect is only temporary and lasts a few hours. It is not a big deal if I take it for 3-4 months and then have a period of 4-6 months. It is possible to have more sexual experience with the medication.
I do feel that the medication is a bit more effective and I have been taking it for years. I do not feel it is a big deal, but I can still have the same effect. I am still concerned about my libido and will try to get better. I am taking Propecia for 3 months and have no issues at all. I am taking the same medicine every day.
I have read that it is important to take Propecia as directed and I feel that it will help me feel better before my period. The medication is working great for me, but I am still not satisfied with my sex drive. I have tried to take it on Friday evening and it didn’t help much either. I have been taking the medication for a month and my libido is still good and I can now have sex all day. I have been taking Propecia for 3 months and feel that it is a good thing for me.
I have noticed that there is a little bit of a change in my sex drive. I am still having sex at the moment, and I am not sure if it is a natural or a side effect. I do not like the way it has affected my libido, and will try to have a bit more sex before I have a period. It is not something that I would normally go for.
I am still not sure if this is a side effect or just something to worry about. I am on the Propecia for 5 months and have no issues at all. I have noticed some slight changes in my sex drive. The main reason for this is that I am not very happy with the medication. I have been on Propecia for 5 months and the main problem has been a lack of confidence in my sexual abilities. This is not a big deal if I take it for 5 months. I have not had any side effects at all and I have noticed a little bit of the side effects, but they are quite noticeable.
I have also noticed that I have gained weight and my sex drive has been getting worse. I am not a fan of eating well in the evening and I will try to lose weight before going in the morning. I have noticed that I can now have more sex and I am a bit more hungry at night. I am still not very satisfied with my sex drive and will try to have a bit more sex before I have a period. I have also been taking the medication on Friday evening. I was on Propecia for 3 months and I felt that I was getting a bit better.
I am taking the Propecia at the same time that I was on Propecia for 3 months. I am having more sex and I am not sure if this is a good thing for me or not.
